Field Museum Microplants

The world's biodiversity is diminishing rapidly and undergoing an extinction crisis. Scientists from the Field Museum, Duke University and international researchers are using biological collections from museums and academic institutions to document the fossilized and living members of the world’s ecosystems and their changes over time. Zooniverse volunteers through the Microplants project have helped scientists by measuring the microleaf of Frullania.

The project is paused while the team builds a new version of Microplants on the Zooniverse’s latest web platform. Check back soon for updates.
